Overview: You can receive Guestlink bookings through many publishing channels such as local, regional and national tourism websites, Tourist Information Centres, our national tourism portal www.roomcheck.co.uk and local attraction websites with Overnighter accommodation sections. This article explains how to process these bookings.
Step 1: Select how you would like to be notified of new bookings. You can choose to receive notification that you have received a booking by fax, email or both.
Check that your fax number and email address are correct and up-to-date by logging in to Guestlink, clicking Update on the main menu, then Details on the sub-menu that appears below. For more information, see the How To called How do I update my property details?.
Choose how you would like to be notified of new bookings by clicking on My Guestlink and Options is automatically selected from the sub-menu below. The Guestlink Options section is then shown, and you can select your preferred notification method from the dropdown list.
Step 2: Go to the Bookings > Bookings page in Guestlink.
If you have received new bookings since you last logged on to Guestlink, an alert appears when you log into Guestlink. Click on the blue message to be taken to the Bookings > Bookings page.

Alternatively, once you have logged into Guestlink click Bookings on the main menu and the Bookings option is automatically selected from the sub-menu below.
The Bookings > Bookings page shows a summary of up to twenty bookings, with the most recent at the top of the list.
Step 3: View the details of a booking.
If the booking you want to process appears in the list, click on it to view the details.
If the booking you want to process does not appear in the list, click the Search button, and enter any information you know to find the booking, then click on relevant booking from the list to view the details.
Step 4: Process the booking.
Each booking has an Action Required section which gives details of the steps you should follow to process the booking.

If further action is required, the text is red; once you have completed the actions and clicked the Confirm button, the text changes to green.
When a booking has been made by a TIC, no further action is required. Please note credit card details are not available for bookings made through TICs. Web bookings may require you to confirm the booking with the guest, and always require that you change the status of the booking. You may need to access payment card details for customers who have booked online, or check the commissionable booking value is correct for websites where bookings are powered by Guestlink + Affiliates.
If a guest later cancels the booking, or doesn't arrive, you can go back to the booking and update the status at any time.
